Hello, I’m Filomena
Photographer and owner of Filomena Photography
My journey as a photographer began in 2005 when my first son was born. I would spend my days trying to capture different images of his precious little face, fingers, and toes. After welcoming three more children, my love for photography continued to grow. I found myself wanting to document everything.
I also realized how meaningful it was to look around my home and see the memories and moments that passed so quickly. That experience shaped the way I approach photography today.
Why I love what I do
There are countless styles and ways to capture and preserve the exceptional times in your life.
My clients can be at any stage of life — starting a new family, celebrating a big milestone, building a business, or documenting love. I feel fortunate that I get to experience a small part of their journey and help preserve their story.
My Approach
You can expect an honest, warm experience when working with me.
As a mother of four, I know firsthand what it takes to get your kids to sit for “just one picture,” convince a toddler to wear uncomfortable clothes, or bring a newborn to a studio just days after birth. Because of that, I approach every session with patience, understanding, and a calm environment where families feel comfortable.
I believe in the power of listening. Every person has ideas, different experiences, and emotions. Understanding those layers helps me photograph with intention.
My goal is for my clients to feel proud when they see what we created together and know they chose the right person to help bring their vision to life.
Documenting someone’s story means preserving not just how the moment looked, but how it felt.
Let’s talk about the moments you’d like to capture.
I’d love to hear what you’re hoping to document and how we can create something meaningful together.
